Beef Chili



  • Preparation: 10 minutes

  • Seasoning:
    • 1 tbsp. olive oil
    • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
    • 1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
    • 1 tsp. ground cumin
    • 1 tsp. ground oregano
    • 1/2 tsp. paprika
    • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    • Salt
    • Ground black pepper
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 Can crushed tomatoes
  • Shredded cheddar, for garnish
  • Sour cream, for garnish



  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook for about 5 minutes until the onions are soft.
  2. Stir in the garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, then add tomato paste, stirr to combine.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Drain fat and return to heat.
  4. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour in kidney beans and crushed tomatoes. Bring chili to boil then reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Taste for seasoning and season with salt and pepper, if necessary. Serve with cheddar and sour cream.
